Project: Defi Design
Interaction Design • UX Research

DEFI Design Studio strives to harness the power of design to create innovative products, streamline processes, and elevate user experiences, ensuring ultimate success and competitive advantage for businesses.
Overview
Convoke is a meeting-productivity tool designed for platforms like Zoom and Teams. Our team researched why virtual meetings feel unfocused and built a mid-fidelity prototype that improves agendas, notes, decisions, and follow-up.
Problem
Users described virtual meetings as unclear, unfocused, and hard to track. Common issues included:
• No clear agenda or purpose
• Low engagement and poor preparation
• Scattered notes and decisions
• Difficulty recalling outcomes afterward
My Role
I conducted user research (interviews + Reddit analysis), completed competitive reviews, synthesized insights into personas and themes, sketched concepts, designed mid-fidelity screens, and performed usability testing.
Key Insights
• Agendas strongly shape meeting effectiveness
• Users need one place to track notes, decisions, and transcript highlights
• Existing tools feel cluttered or disconnected from actual meeting flow
Solution
Convoke introduces a simple, structured sidebar:
Agenda – clear talking points and time cues
Notes – shared + personal notes
Transcript – searchable highlights
Decision Tracker – statuses, comments, and rationale
The design reduces cognitive load and keeps meetings aligned.
Impact
Participants reported:
• Better preparation
• Clearer structure
• Easier decision recall
• More focused discussions
Next Steps
High-fidelity design, deeper integration with task tools, and broader user testing.
Documentation
• Research Report
• Mid-Fidelity Prototype
• Final Presentation
